Further, to develop the project as a full fledged autonomous institution by the end of tenth five year plan.

Mission

To develop policy, institutional tripartite mechanism and operational infrastructure for the protection and promotion of safety and health of the workers and prevention, control and / or minimization of two main workplace issues – occupational accidents and diseases adversely affecting production and productivity, directly as well as indirectly and to establish tripartite cooperation for the protection and promotion, Control and minimization of occupational accidents and diseases.
